The Training JumpStartTM Portal is an effective vehicle for on-boarding new hires. Structure a sequence of learning activities using Course Composer and point a new hire to the URL. The new hire performs these  activities as training on demand as well as training just in time, promoting speed to productivity. Optionally, assign a mentor to the new hire, a strategy that works well in combination with the structured on-boarding activities deployed through the Training JumpStart™ Portal. The program can extend over time, with learning taking place as needed on the job.

A second example concerns external audiences. Training, consulting, financial, technology or customer service organizations can provide some portion of their training free of charge as samples for marketing purposes or as a public service. This is a common strategy on the Internet for enticing viewers to purchase premium, fee-based training.
