• With online training on demand, pre-recorded, systematically designed learning content is available to a learner anytime, anywhere and at the learner's pace.

Question: How does the Training JumpStart™ Portal combine online training on demand for self study with live training events?

Short response: The Training JumpStart™ Portal allows training providers to design online training on demand as a sequence of components created through their desktop applications and designed for self-study. Authors upload and sequence training content as  course elements. In addition, authors can designate any number of real-time web events as part of the course, live events hosted by a vendor of their choosing.

Question: Can real-time communication/collaboration tools such as Google Wave be an all-in-one solution to my training needs? Why do I need Training JumpStart™ Portal if I can use Google Wave?

Short response: Not only is the Training JumpStart™ Portal not competitive with Google Wave, but it is complementary, and can add value to Google Wave and vice versa.
